This Club is open to anyone interested in Adult Clothing Construction. The plan is to have a demo of some technique (will take requests as the year goes along), do show and tell by all of us, answer questions or offer suggestions for fitting solutions pus reviews of patterns, books and more that are all related to adult clothing sewing. Some of you are unable to take our clothing classes but this would offer you a source and a group for support and information. It will meet the 2nd Sat. of the month in the afternoon from 1:30 to 4:30. In March there will be an exception to this date. Make sure you are on our email list for Sewing Club if you have signed up. Don't forget to wear or bring your Show and Tell. It is so inspiring to see what everyone creates from month to month.
Leader of the Group - Toni Katz with Mollie Swindle
Fee: $40 for 2017 (Feb. through Nov.) This is so cheap there will be no partial sign up fees. Everyone will miss one or two sessions I'm sure. If you miss, we'll be glad to share handouts and information.
Dates: 2nd Saturdays of the month March will be the 3rd Sat. Feb. 11, March 18, April 8 & May 13
The May meeting will include a presentation on draping by Mollie Swindle. As always, wear or bring your show and tell. We all have old patterns or patterns that we know we are not going to use for one reason or another (size, style, duplicates etc.). Anyway, clean out your drawers and closets and bring the patterns you no longer want and make space for stuff that you really need to keep in your sewing room. I have cleaned out my last section, Becky has a big bag of hers (some includes crafts, bags & children's patterns), so we hope to give you incentive to do the same. Everyone can look through and help themselves. Anything left I will take to Goodwill and save you the trip. Ha. So come to the meeting with show and tell and your old patterns. Someone's junk is someone else's treasure.
The new L450 & 460 overlocker is in stock so come check it out if you are in need of a serger. Easy to thread and use!
