Good starting Places - Learn the basics First!

Beginning Beginning Piecing

Learn the basics of piecing a quilt. We will piece  a small quilt from cutting it out to placing borders on it. Along the way, you will be introduced to the most current techniques. This class is for those who have never sewn before and to those who need to brush up on their skills. We have a new sample quilt that is lap size. Check it out on the web site or at the shop. This class will be offered either Tuesday night or Thursday during the day.

Beginning Machine Quilting

In this class you will learn the basics of machine quilting. This one day only class  will instruct you on spray basting, or pinning, marking and layering. It will also guide you in using your walking foot and free motion quilting!  If you have a BSR, be sure to bring it too class.

Class fee: $25  plus $11.00 kit

Binding - a one day class

A necessary class for finishing your quilts. You will learn how to make a binding that is snug on both the front and back of your quilt. You can totally do binding by machine or finish it by hand. We will do mitered corners and connect the ends so that you and no one else can tell where you started or ended.  

Class Fee:
$25 plus binding tool
